Sure! Check out our walkthroughs with live chat right here. There’s one for restaurants (+ cafes, bars, hotels, caterers, food trucks…) and another for retail foodservice (supermarkets, health food stores, prepared foods departments…).
You can watch them anytime that’s convenient for you and we’d be happy to jump on a call to answer any other questions. Just drop us a line at sales@reciprofity.com. -
Nope, nope, and nope.
Our goal is to be the best recipe costing and inventory control system on the market. We focus deeply on one thing and we do it really well. But we love integration and reciProfity plays nicely with lots of the most popular restaurant apps and systems! -
The accurate answer is that reciProfity is designed to pay for itself several times over. So if you’re not seeing increases in your bottom line that are much bigger than what reciProfity costs, we’ve got a problem!
The short answer is here on our pricing page where you can choose the functionality level that you need. It’s no problem to change your tier anytime; we pro-rate the price based on the number of days left in the billing cycle so there’s never a penalty for making a change.- Add-on components for various types of integrations and exports and additional users are $10/month or $100/year.
- Additional units are $30/month or $300/year and include the Recipe Share and Inventory Transfer features.
- Extra units, users, and add-on components get purchased on the checkout page after you select your tier.
- If you have more than 3 units, give us a shout at sales@reciprofity.comand we’ll be happy to put together an offer just for you.
-
You can make all the changes you’d like in your billing portal. All the info you need is in the welcome email we sent when you signed up. If you can’t find it or need any help, reach out to support@reciprofity.com anytime! -
Sure, we won’t tell if you don’t!
But you’ll want to purchase additional users if:- Multiple people will be using reciProfity concurrently (each user can only be logged in on one device at a time).
- You want to give different rights, or levels of access, to different users (more info about rights here).
- You’ll be using the Digital Recipe Book as a read-only collection of recipes on a tablet for your kitchen crew.
-
Multi-unit features are built for companies that have multiple stores or restaurants under one corporate umbrella, or larger facilities like hotels or conference centers with multiple F&B outlets.
You’ll want to purchase an extra unit for each outlet that maintains a separate inventory and recipe database from your main outlet. Each additional unit comes with one extra user plus Recipe Share and Inventory Transfer features. -
Our support team is happy to answer your questions via email at support@reciprofity.com Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, but reciProfity was built to be as intuitive as possible. Most users are able to get up and running with nothing more than our knowledge base, tool tips in the app, and video tutorial library.
In fact, we’d recommend being careful of the apps that offer (or require!) high-touch onboarding. It’s usually a warning sign of a clunky, outdated interface. And don’t forget that it’s you, the user, who is paying full time salaries for all those onboarding employees who you’ll never see again after week 1. Sounds like a margin killer, if you ask us. -
Nah, you got this. It’s pretty easy, especially if you use our order guide importer to build your ingredient database.
But if you’re looking for somebody to do the hard work and get you totally set up on reciProfity while also helping you improve your recipe costing systems, check out our recommended consultants on our partners page. -
reciProfity is a totally cloud-based app which means that there’s nothing to download and it works on any device with a web browser, ideally Chrome. You can access your recipes on your phone at home just as easily as on your office computer.
And being cloud-based means that we’re constantly releasing updates and improvements which get pushed to you automatically. It’s not like in the old days where a new version was released every year and you had to pay for it. -
reciProfity is hosted on Amazon Web Services, the industry leader for reliability, uptime, and security. Most restaurant managers wish they had as many backup servers as Amazon does. -
The team behind reciProfity has been building food costing and inventory control software for almost 40 years. We started back in the 80s as At Your Service Software, Inc. with a program for MS-DOS, if you remember what that is. Around the turn of the century we released CostGuard, our Windows desktop version, and in 2017 we launched reciProfity in the cloud.
Our team includes fantastic programmers, a support & service crew, and a couple chefs and restaurant people just to make sure that your real life needs are taken care of.
